A couple months ago I felt compelled to upgrade my bug-prone Galaxy S5 along with my wife’s poorly-connected LG G3. We were on Sprint at the time and paying roughly $75/month each for unlimited data/talk/text.
We decided to ditch Sprint and try out Project Fi with Google (no annual contract I might add). Now we both have Nexus devices (6P and 5X) and make calls mainly through WiFi. Our data is capped at 2GB, but since we have Comcast Xfinity, we have free WiFi nearly everywhere we go.
Bonus tip: all you need to get universal free WiFi are the login credentials of an Xfinity user and the Xfinity app on your mobile device ;)
Long story short: we are loving it. We are saving $25 a month with new phones and better service. As if that weren’t enough, I came across this the other day and got $10 in Play credit.
Good luck, Sprint!
